FCC says it wants billions extra to fund Huawei telco package removing

The US Federal Communications Fee (FCC) says it wants a further $3 billion to fund the removing of telecoms gear made by Chinese language distributors equivalent to Huawei and ZTE.

Congress had earmarked round $1.9 billion (opens in new tab) for the Provide Chain Reimbursement Program, which gives federal funds to operators who’re reliant on such package, however the FCC says this isn’t sufficient.
