Linux kernel staff has conquered Retbleed, Torvalds says

Retbleed, a just lately found Spectre-like microprocessor flaw that affected each AMD and Intel units, has been mounted on Linux (opens in new tab), OS boss Linus Torvalds has confirmed.

As reported by The Register, Torvalds revealed a blog post (opens in new tab) detailing the work, saying that the repair wasn’t that straightforward to construct, and that the staff should push the discharge of the subsequent patch by not less than per week.
